LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – One driver lost their life Thursday afternoon, July 18, as a result of a two-vehicle crash at a southeast Ashburn intersection.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal collision occurred at Waxpool Road and Red Rum Drive at around 1:30 p.m.
While the events leading up to the wreck have not been made public, first responders pronounced the driver of the sedan deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV did not receive treatment for any injuries at the crash site.
No other information on either driver has been released at this time, and no charges have been reported. An investigation remains underway.
