BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA – A two-vehicle collision late Tuesday morning, May 28, near northwest Farmville has claimed the lives of four people.
The accident unfolded on a stretch of U.S. Highway Route 15, or South James Madison Highway, near Saw Mill Road (State Route 683). Virginia State Police were called to the area shortly before 11:45 a.m.
Details remain limited, but officials confirmed that two passenger cars were involved, and four people died as a result of the crash.
It was not immediately apparent whether anyone else was injured and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
