Narrative
HERNDON, VA – A 23-year-old woman died Saturday in a solo crash along the Fairfax County Parkway in Herndon.
The accident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection with Elden Street. This is on the east side of the city, just north of Reston Hospital Center.
Police say that the driver of a 2019 BMW M850I may have been intoxicated when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, causing the car to overturn.
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Tina Habibi, died at the scene.
Medics transported the driver to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
